The wait is finally over as the battle for Asian supremacy commences on August 27 with the all-important final on September 11.
India vs Pakistan Asia Cup match will be played on August 28. The tournament will begin with Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan on August 27 in Dubai.
This year the Asia Cup is being organized in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Two groups have been made in the Asia Cup. There will be three teams in each group. In Group A, there will be another qualifying team along with India-Pakistan. Similarly, Afghanistan’s team has been kept in Group B along with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
According to the schedule, India will start its campaign against Pakistan from August 28. After this, India’s second match will be held on August 31. After this, 6 matches will be played in the Super-4 round from September 3. The top two teams will meet in the final on September 11.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah shared the Asia Cup schedule with his Twitter handle. He wrote, ‘The wait is finally over as the competition for Asian supremacy starts from 27th August. The final match will be played on 11 September. This 15th edition of the Asia Cup will serve as an important preparation before the T20 World Cup.
