Gujarat reported a total of 572 new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, compared to 419 cases on Monday, registering a relatively low number of cases for four days in a row.
Similarly, Ahmedabad too reported 249 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Tuesday, highest in Gujarat. The city on Tuesday registered a spike of around 100 cases than the cases reported on the previous day.
Followed by Ahmedabad, Surat city registered 82 positive cases, Rajkot registered 41, Bhavnagar 22, Jamnagar 21, Valsad 18, Navsari 16, Vadodara city 13 and Kutch and Surat reported 12 cases each on Tuesday in the last 24 hours.
The positivity rate of Gujarat on Tuesday remained 1.8 per cent and notably, Ahmedabad reported as high as six per cent Test Positivity Rate (TPR).
According to the statement released by the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat, the active caseload in the state went up to 3,595 with highest active caseload of 1,564 cases in Ahmedabad.
The statement further informed that 13,285 citizens in Gujarat got their first jab of Covid-19 vaccine and 27,694 people in the state received their second jab in the last 24 hours on Tuesday.
