A farmer dug a well for his village people in Gujarat’s Dang district. Dang District receives heavy rainfall, but due to its hilly and rocky terrain, drinking water is a major issue during the four months of summer.
The 60-year-old farmer, Gangabhai Pawar, tried to seek help from the village sarpanch but when his demands were not accepted, he himself started digging a well for water purposes.
Nearly after 2 years, he delved 32 feet well for his village.
Village Sarpanch Geetaben Gavit praised the farmer’s efforts and congratulated him. According to villager Arjun Bagul, this well will not only quench the village’s thirst but will also aid in irrigation.
