India reported at least 12,249 additional COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total to 4,33,31,645. Data from the Union Health Ministry show that there are now 81,687 active cases in the nation.
A total of 5,24,903 people have died worldwide as a result of Covid, according to reports from India.
Of all infections, the active cases make up 0.19 percent. The health ministry reported that the nationwide COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.60%.
An increase of 2,374 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 3.94 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 2.90 per cent, the ministry said.
