Gujarat continues to see an increase in Covid-19 infections with 228 new cases reported on Thursday. However, no deaths were reported.
Ahmedabad on Thursday recorded 114 new Covid-19 cases, recording a 113-day high single day tally.
Of the new cases, 26 new cases were reported from Vadodara, 20 in Surat, 12 in Rajkot, 7 in Jamnagar, 5 in Navsari, and 4 each in Gandhinagar city and Bharuch among others.
On the recovery front, 62 patients were discharged in the city.
Meanwhile, on the vaccination front, 85,738 individuals were administered vaccine doses in the past 24 hours in Gujarat. Of these, 42,003 people were given booster doses while 13,515 people in the 12-14 age group took second dose of vaccination.
