The 10th Gujarat Open Football Tournament was held on a grand scale at the Racecourse Ground in Rajkot.
Four teams of Ahmedabad, RBI, Income Tax, ARA FC and Juggernaut FC have made it to the pre-quarterfinals. Apart from this, two teams from Vadodara, Baroda FC and Rangers FC and the SRPF team from Gandhinagar have won the preliminary rounds.
A total of 16 teams have now qualified on the first three days of the tournament that started on June 5.
Takshashila FC Palanpur, H R Madam Trust Jamnagar, Godhra FC, CVM Anand, RIU Kheda, Bhavnagar FA, Mithapur FC, and Navsari FC are among the other teams that have advanced to the pre-quarter final rounds and will play on Thursday.
Two teams from host centre Rajkot YCC and AG office, who are the defending champions, have also made it to the pre-quarterfinals.
Gujarat football fans are watching the event with great excitement to see who will lift the cup in the final on Sunday.
