The Government of Gujarat has made the movie ‘Nayika Devi: The Warrior Queen’, tax-free in the state
The film is made tax free under the film encouragement policy of the state government. The state government will pay the SGST to the cinema halls for displaying the film.
State Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has announced to give the benefit of the state government’s film promotion policy to ‘Nayika Devi’.
They will be reimbursed the SGST paid by the cinema for the screening of the film by the state government. For this, the cinema owner will have to clearly tell that ‘this film is tax free’. Also the refund of SGST paid for the screening of the film can be claimed by submitting the necessary evidence in the prescribed form in the office of the Director of Information, Gandhinagar.
