On Friday, the daytime temperature in Ahmedabad dropped unexpectedly to 40.4 degrees Celsius, a drop of about 1 degree Celsius from the previous day’s 41.4 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, Rajkot registered a maximum temperature of 40.2 degrees Celsius, Deesa recorded 39.8 degrees C, Bhuj recorded 39.6 degrees Celsius and Vadodara recorded of 37.6 degrees Celsius while Surat registered a maximum temperature of 33.6 degrees Celsius.
The highest maximum temperature in the region was 43°C, which was recorded in a number of locations.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts Light rain very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Tapi and Dang.
Dry weather very likely in all the districts of North Gujarat region, Saurashtra- Kutch and in remaining districts of South Gujarat region and in Diu, Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli.
