The daytime temperature in Ahmedabad unexpectedly rose to 41.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday, an increase of about 1 degree Celsius over the previous day’s temperature of 40.8 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, Deesa registered a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, Rajkot recorded 40.6 degrees C, Bhuj recorded 39.6 degrees Celsius and Vadodara recorded of 38 degrees Celsius while Surat registered a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius
The highest maximum temperature in the region was 43°C, which was recorded in a number of locations.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts light rain to thundershowers at isolated locations in the districts of South Gujarat, including Navsari, Valsad, and Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; and in the districts of Saurashtra, including Amreli and Bhavnagar for next two days.
Dry weather very likely in all the districts of Gujarat region, Saurashtra-Kutch and in Diu, Daman & Dadra Nagar Haveli.
