Sports Al Dente is an Indian sports news and updates website that focuses on everything major sports. It also announced the publication of a monthly sports magazine.
However, that is not the only significant step taken by the Surat-based company. Sports Al Dente recently donated sports kits and merchandise to local women athletes as a result of its growth in the Indian market.
The distribution program started with over a hundred women athletes in Navsari, Gujarat aspiring to become the next star athlete.
The sports kits ranged from athletic gear, sports jerseys, tools and tracksuits, and various sports accessories. Al Dente’s distribution program encompasses a wide group of underprivileged youngsters as well. It recently donated free jerseys to the underprivileged in other parts of Navsari as well. CEO of Sports Al Dente, Shubham Sharma talked about their social responsibility as well as similar future campaigns the website will be a part of.
“Donating sports kits and jerseys to the women athletes and other marginalized groups is part of our overarching efforts at combating the huge deficit in the Indian sports scene. We realized that a big reason why the sports scene in India is struggling is because of a clear lack of motivation among the youth. That lack of motivation is itself a consequence of neglect from authorities, media, and economic challenges as well. We felt that donating sports kits and gear to these aspiring bunch of young people will not only inspire others in the sector to do the same but also push the discourse around sports facilities forward, ” said Sharma.
He also went on to shed some light on what the future of such programs entails. “I think it’s the start of a grassroots change that the sports scene in India desperately needs. We will continue our efforts to promote different sports and give them a chance to bloom and develop in the country. Building infrastructure for major as well as overlooked sports in India is the call of the hour and we are determined to answer it through our website, our magazines, and our social endeavors such as this,” added the Al Dente CEO.
Sports Al Dente is opening new offices in Delhi and the Philippines and according to CEO Shubham Sharma, they will continue the donation programs in all of the respective cities.
