For the first time the Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed Akasa Air on Monday posted photos of the airline.
Akasa Air is planning to start its commercial flight operations in July. Last week, Akasa Air received its airline code ‘QP’.
Akasa Air on Monday in a series of tweet posted photos of its aircraft with captions – “Coming soon to Your Sky!” “Can’t keep calm!” “Say hi to our QP-pie! What do YAA think?”
The airline, which is backed by ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and aviation veterans Vinay Dube and Aditya Ghosh, had received the no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Ministry of Civil Aviation in August 2021 to launch commercial flight operations.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation gave the green light to Boeing 737 Max aircraft in late August last year, and Akasa Air signed a deal with Boeing on November 26, 2021 to purchase 72 Max planes.
