On the occasion of Gujarat Foundation Day, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated a Regional Science Centre in Patan.
The science centre, which spans 34,000 square metres, is designed to boost young people’s interest in science and technology.
Patan is located some 130 kilometers from Ahmedabad and the center is said to become the identity of the district.
The centers have created many observatory lounges, keeping in view the uniqueness of Patan district. These include Land of Dinosaurs Gallery, Hydroponics Gallery, Nobel Prize Gallery, Chemistry, Optics Gallery, Human Science Gallery.
This is one of the four regional science centres established in Gujarat to promote a scientific temperament among the people, especially children, the release said.
Patel took to Twitter to wish citizens on the statehood day and said the “hard-working and forward-looking people” of Gujarat have made the state and the country attain recognition in the world.
