As heat wave conditions prevailed Thursday, Ahmedabad recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 43.4 degrees Celsius.
Apart from Ahmedabad, Vadodara recorded a maximum temperature of 43.2 degrees Celsius, Rajkot recorded 42.8 degrees Celsius and Surat 40.6 degrees Celsius.
On Thursday, severe heat wave conditions prevailed in isolated pockets of Saurashtra districts.
Along with the dry weather condition y in all the districts of Gujarat region, Saurashtra-Kutch and in Diu, Daman & Dadra Nagar Haveli, Gujarat State is very likely to experience a spell of heat wave for next few days.
Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has forecast heat wave in the districts of Gujarat region namely Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat and Valsad; in the districts of Saurashtra-Kutch namely Rajkot, Porbandar & in Kutch.
