Eight districts of Gujarat to receive unseasonal rain: IMD

As many as eight districts in Gujarat are expected to receive unseasonal rain on Wednesday, April 20 as a result of low-pressure formation, stated Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in its statement.

On Wednesday, light to moderate thunderstorms with lightening are expected in Amreli, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Dahod, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, and Vadodara, according to the IMD.

In these parts of the state, winds are expected to gust to 40 to 60 kilometres per hour.

However, showers are not expected in Ahmedabad but the temperature in the city is likely to go down by 2-3 Degrees Celsius due to rain on Wednesday. This will be after the city recorded the second-highest maximum temperature at 42.4 Degrees Celsius in the state on Sunday.

Rajkot was the hottest place in Gujarat with 42.8 Degrees Celsius followed by Ahmedabad and next Surendranagar with 42.3 Degrees Celsius on Sunday.
