The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 final is set to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The semifinals will take place in either Lucknow or Kolkata, according to sources.
The hosts for the play-offs are being discussed, with Lucknow and Kolkata as possible candidates. BCCI to decide soon between the two cities. While one section believes it should be Lucknow for being the new entrant, others believe Kolkata should also get important matches. An official call on the matter is yet to be taken by the BCCI and IPL Governing Council.
Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Lucknow Super Giants, and Gujarat Titans have lodged the strongest of challenges for a top-four finish at the moment.
Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad each have two wins from four games, while Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have yet to win a single match.
