A week after educational institutions resumed in-person classes, as many as 39,000 students from Gujarat University’s arts, commerce, science, and other branches will take their first semester examinations online. Gujarat University will hold their first semester examinations online.
From February 28 to March 7, the first semester online examination will be held. On the days when online exams will be administered, four examination sessions will be held each day, according to GU officials.
Students who chose the offline examination method will take their first semester exam on March 15. According to sources, approximately 50,000 students will take in-person exams. These will be held for the streams of science, arts, commerce, BBA, BCA, MA, MCom, BED, MEd, and LLB.
According to sources, online exams are being held for the first semester because students were given the option at a time when Covid-19 cases were relatively high.
Since then, offline classes and exams have begun for students of classes 1 to 12. When the option was given, 39,000 students had opted for the online exam and 50,000 for offline examination.
Officials of the examination division said that in each of the four online sessions held on a daily basis, 50 questions will be asked. “Each question will carry one mark and will have to be attempted in 50 minutes. One question will be visible on the screen for one minute only. University helplines will remain open if students face problems during the online. examination,” officials said.
Students taking the exam online must log in 20 minutes before the scheduled start time.
They have been instructed not to leave their seats or engage in any suspicious activity during the online exam, or their exam will be suspended.
