Torrent Power to undertake maintenance from Feb 28 at 39 locations

Torrent Power has announced the possibility of temporary power outages at 39 different locations in Ahmedabad from February 28 to March 6 due to “network maintenance” of the electricity distribution network.

According to the company’s announcement, parts of Vejalpur, Ghatlodia, the 100-foot satellite road, the Thaltej-Ambli road, and the Iskon-Thaltej Highway are among the areas in western Ahmedabad that may experience outages due to network maintenance between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“The company routinely publishes the list of areas where electricity supply might be affected due to maintenance issues in newspapers and on its website,” stated a company spokesperson.

The other areas of Ahmedabad that might see outages include parts of Naroda, Ghodasar, Parimal Garden, Nikol, Amraiwadi, Bapunagar, Nehrunagar, Akhbarnagar, Shahibaug, Vatva GIDC, among others.

From February 21 to February 27, similar planned maintenance was scheduled in 44 different locations throughout the city.

Parts of the Chandola, Ghodasar, and SG Highway were undergoing maintenance on Saturday. Similar activities are planned for the Bhoiwada sub-station of Kalupur on Sunday.

Uttar Gujarat Vij Company (UGVCL), which supplies power to Ahmedabad’s outskirts, announced a similar maintenance of its distribution network a few weeks ago.
