The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar has invited applications from international students for post graduate programmes for the international admission programme (phase 1) 2022-23.
Interested students can apply online at the official website – iitgn.ac.in/admissions/international_student/. The last date to send applications is March 24.
“We are excited to invite applications from international students to enroll into IITGN’s International Admission programme (phase 1) for the year 2022-23. Send in your application on or before March 24, 2022. In case of any queries, write at international.students@iitgn.ac.in,” IIT Gandhinagar said on social media.
- The PG programmes being offered by IIT Gandhinagar for international students are:
- MA in Society and Culture
- PhD in Humanities and Social Sciences
- PhD and MSc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Cognitive Science
- PhD and MTech in Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Earth System Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
How to Apply
- Visit the official link – iitgn.ac.in/admissions/international_student/
- After applying, candidates will reach a confirmation page, which will show your application number.
- Save the application form pdf for future reference.
- After an initial check regarding completeness of your application, your application will be forwarded to the appropriate discipline.
- After an internal review, if candidates are shortlisted, they will be interviewed and/or a test will be administered by a committee via phone or the Internet (Skype).
- If a candidate is found suitable for admission, an offer letter will be sent subsequently.
Visa
Students who have secured admission to the part-time non-degree programmes or Master’s degree programmes (MTech, MSc or MA) must apply for a Student Visa. Students who have secured admission to the PhD programme must apply for a Research Visa.
Candidates have to apply for their visa at your nearest Indian Embassy or Consulate with the offer letter from IIT Gandhinagar and other supporting documents.
Further, they have to note that while IIT Gandhinagar will provide all the necessary assistance, issuance of a Visa is beyond the institute’s control.
Documents to Carry
Candidates are required to bring original official transcripts, degree certificates (if available), and other documents about their educational qualifications and experience for verification on the day of joining. In case they have not obtained their degree certificate, candidates will be required to furnish it within 1 year of joining.
Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of admission. “We look forward to welcoming bright international postgraduate students to our beautiful campus at the banks of the Sabarmati river!,” the institute tweeted.
