According to a recent study, a rising percentage of jobseekers are choosing to work for organisations that provide permanent work from home opportunities.
Working from home became the new normal for many job sectors when the Covid-19 epidemic hit.
According to an employment portal Naukri.com since July of last year, the job platform has seen 93,000 permanent and temporary remote positions. Only 22% of these opportunities were for permanent remote positions.
Naukri.com has witnessed 32 lakh job searches for permanent and temporary remote employment by Indian job seekers in the previous six months.
Approximately 57% of these searches were for permanent remote positions at the same time, with the greatest search, over 3.5 lakh, being recorded just in the month of December 2021.
Many large and small companies have posted all three types of jobs i.e. regular jobs, temporary work-from-home and totally remote jobs.
The study reveals that IT companies, Software Services, and Recruitment/Staffing sectors are posting more permanently remote jobs.
Some of the companies posting both temporary and permanent remote jobs are Amazon, Tech Mahindra, HCL, PWC, Trigent, Flipkart, Siemens, Deloitte, Oracle, Zensar, TCS, Capgemini etc, the report said.
