Gujarat government authorised six town planning (TP) proposals for three cities namely Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat today
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has granted approval to one preliminary TP scheme and two final TP schemes of Ahmedabad, one preliminary TP scheme and one final TP scheme of Surat and one draft TP scheme of Vadodara
CM Patel has approved two preliminary TP schemes: TP scheme number 429 (Godhavi Manipur) under AUDA, Ahmedabad, and TP scheme number 71 (Vadod) of Surat Municipal Corporation. The Vadodara Urban Development Authority’s scheme number 43 (Undera Ankodiya) is one of the draught TP schemes approved by CM Patel. The three final TP schemes approved by CM Patel are Surat’s TP scheme number 26 (Singanapore), Sanand’s TP scheme number 4A, and Ahmedabad’s TP scheme number 94 (Hathian Ropda).
The 22 18 hectares of land will be acquired by approval of draft TP scheme no 43 of Vadodara Urban development Authority Total 55 47 hectares of land will be acquired by approval of preliminary TP scheme no 429 of AUDA and 15 83 hectares land will be acquired by approval of preliminary scheme no 71 of SMC
The approval of the TP schemes allows for the establishment of residences for people from lower economic groups, the creation of open spaces, and the development of gardens. Furthermore, due to the same, the land can be sold to meet the expenditure for infrastructural facilities.
