Gujarat continues to experience an increase in Covid-19 cases, with 4,213 new cases reported in just 24 hours. The Gujarat Education Department is considering making schools online as a result of the Covid scare. Most schools have also told parents that their children should not attend school and should instead take their classes online.
The School Management Association has also made verbal and written appeals to the State government to shut down schools. The decision to conduct the Standard 1- Standard 8 exam offline has yet to be made.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has also canceled all his programs till January 15. The government is expected to announce Corona’s new guidelines by 7pm today. CM also conducted a comprehensive review of the state and district administration’s readiness against corona transition in the State by holding a meeting via video conference.
The Municipal Commissioners of Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Gandhinagar, as well as the District Collectors of Kheda, Anand, Bharuch, Navsari, Valsad, and Kutch, as well as the District Development Officers and District Health Officers, have directed the CM to conduct vaccination drives, tracing-tracking, and isolation in needy areas, as well as medicines in hospitals.
