With the rising number of Covid cases, the Gujarat state government has made a significant decision. In 33 districts across the state, new in-charge secretaries have been appointed. In some districts, the previous in-charge remained in place. Corona’s operations were to be overseen by the secretary in charge.
Mukesh Kumar has been given command of the city of Ahmedabad. So Rahul Gupta has been retained in Rajkot, Vinod Rao in Vadodara, and Thennarasan in Surat.

On the other hand, 224 cases have been reported in Rajkot, 116 in Vadodara and 112 in Anand. So 91 cases have been reported in Gandhinagar, 77 in Kutch, 66 in Kheda, 58 in Valsad, 46 in Navsari, 43 in Bharuch, 40 in Bhavnagar, 33 in Jamnagar and 32 in Junagadh. On the other hand, 23 cases were reported in Sabarkantha, 22 in Mehsana, 181-18 in Devbhoomi Dwarka, Morbi and Panchmahal, 17 in Surendranagar and 16 in Amreli. There are a total of 14 thousand 346 active cases in the state. Out of which 29 patients are on ventilator.
