India on Thursday records 495 new Omicron cases in the last 24 hours taking the national tally to 2630 from 26 states and union territory. The Union health ministry informed that out of the total cases 995 persons have recovered or migrated.
In all Maharashtra remain the leading contributors in India’s Omicron tally with 797 new infections with 330 recoveries. Followed by Delhi 465 new infection with 57 recoveries, Rajasthan 236 and 155 recoveries, Kerala 234 new cases and 58 recoveries, Gujarat 204 new cases with 112 recoveries.
Meanwhile India on Thursday logged 90,928 new Covid-19 cases a jump of 32,831 cases in a day. India’s Active Caseload is presently at 2,85,401.
The active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.81%. The Recovery Rate of the country is currently at 97.81%
About 19,206 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours. Taking the total Recoveries to 3,43,41,009. The Daily positivity rate (6.43%), Weekly Positivity Rate (3.47%).
