India on Wednesday records 243 new Omicron cases in the last 24 hours taking the national tally to 2135. The Union health ministry informed that out of the total cases 828 persons have recovered or migrated.
In Gujarat 154 number of Omicron cases have been recorded till date with 96 recoveries.
While Maharashtra remain the leading contributors in India’s Omicron tally with 653 new infections with 259 recoveries. Followed by Delhi 465 new infection with 57 recoveries, Kerala 185 new cases and 58 recoveries.
India on Wednesday logged 58,097 new Covid-19 cases. India’s Active Caseload is presently at 2,14,004. Active cases constitute 0.61% of the country’s total Positive Cases.
While 5,389 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. Cumulative tally of recovered patients stands at 3,43,21,803.
The active caseload of country stands 1,71,830, accounting for 0.49 per cent of the total cases.
With the administration of more than 96 lakh Doses (96,43,238) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 147.72 Cr (147,72,08,846) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 1,58,21,510 sessions.
India’s recovery rate stands at 98.01 per cent.
