The state government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday with the Taj group of hotels for the construction of a hotel at the Kevadiya site of the famous Statue of Unity, as part of another round of MoU signings ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) in Gandhinagar.
In the presence of Revenue Minister Rajendra Trivedi and Minister of State (MoS), industries, Hrishikesh Patel, industries and mining Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Rajeev Kumar Gupta signed the agreement with the hotel conglomerate.
Other significant MoUs have been signed for the establishment of a 70 MW hybrid renewable energy park, the manufacture of specialty chemicals and radar parts, an insecticide formulation plant, a defence thermal camera, defence accessory manufacturing, and more in sectors such as waste to energy, waste to oil, air pollution prevention, anti-bacterial patented equipment manufacturing, and more.
80 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) have been signed in the last four weeks. On Monday, 16 MoU were signed. So far, 95 MoUs have been signed in the run-up to the Vibrant Summit.
