Gujarat reported 111 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 8,28,905, while two more patients died from the infection, according to the state’s health department.
The state’s death toll now stands at 10,108, according to a release from the department.
After 78 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day, the total number of recoveries reached 8,18,129, according to the report.
Gujarat currently has 668 active coronavirus cases, with 12 patients on ventilators.
According to the department, 8.78 crore doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered to the state’s eligible population, with 2.13 lakh shots given during the day.
It said that of the 10,663 people who tested positive for coronavirus in the UT so far, 10,656 have recovered, four have died, and three are still being treated.
