Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival is hosting its 3 rd edition this year, due to pandemic fear the festival will be held online on the official YouTube channel of the festival on dated 24 & 25th December 2021.
This year, they received over 109 submissions from 33 countries, from which the jury and festival director selected 49 films today.
This year’s Categories:
Feature Film: (41 minutes or longer) Documentary film: (5 to 40 minutes)
Short Film: (40 minutes or less) Student Film: (5 to 40 minutes)
Uma Da Cunha, this year’s festival advisor, says, “Film as a medium is one of the most accessible ways to reach the minds of children, and gauge how they ingest, react, and retain elements of what they see and evaluate in their individual, spontaneous way, Film as a communications medium, when used properly and ingeniously, has the potential to be an invaluable teaching tool for all age groups, particularly the young, whose minds are fresh and open to learning”.
