Allegations of ragging have rocked the Government Physiotherapy College in Jamnagar, with 28 second-year students filing a lawsuit against their 15 peers. Following the complaint, college officials started an investigation by the anti-ragging commission, the results of which are expected to be delivered by Thursday evening.
According to records, the students claimed that their seniors intimidated them by calling them on the basis of introduction. The college administrators, however, were unable to specify the type of bullying.
However, no official confirmation of these allegations was provided. In an interview with reporters, Dinesh Sorani, the head of the anti-ragging commission, stated, “We called a meeting on Tuesday evening and ordered an investigation.” We also informed our corporate headquarters. When the commission submits its report, we will proceed in accordance with UGC policy.
If the allegations are proven, the accused students may be expelled from the hostel.
