The Parimal Garden in Ahmedabad will soon get a two-story gym, making it the city’s first. At a cost of Rs 10 crore, the garden in Ellisbridge will be redeveloped with a parking zone and Yoga facilities, but its size will be reduced to decongest traffic. More than 250 small and large gardens can be found in Ahmedabad. The Parimal garden will have a two-story gym with state-of-the-art exercise equipment, while the other gardens will have open gym facilities.
The road leading to Ambawadii Kalyan Jewellers, which is adjacent to the garden, will be removed by 20 feet, according to Mr Rajubhai (Rajesh) Dave, Chairman of the recreation committee.
The garden will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs 10 crore, and its size will be reduced to address traffic issues, he said. He claims that the Parimal Garden will be the first in the city to have a two-story gym with state-of-the-art equipment on the ground and first floors, allowing visitors to exercise.
The garden will have three gates, a Nature Corner, and information on flowers for visitors, according to Mr Dave. In the garden, there will be a toilet block, an underground water tank, and a parking zone.
There will also be an indoor and outdoor sports area, as well as an open theatre and a yoga area. A total of ten benches will be erected around the lake. There will be a variety of cycling and exercise equipment available there at gym.
