The basketball teams from St Xavier’s College maintained their dominance in the Gujarat University Basketball Tournament as their boys’ and girls’ teams won the respective titles for the seventh consecutive year. In the boys’ final, Sahil Pallath scored 14 points while Bhavya Upadhayay added 12 more as St Xavier’s College beat GLS Law College 47-12 for the title at the Ahmedabad Education Society court.
In the girls’ final, St Xavier’s College defeated Umiya Arts & Commerce College 38-2.
Vishwa Panchal scored 9 points for the champions, while Snehi Parekh scored 8.
