The institute has obtained permissions for the seats for the current academic year, which will go a long way toward supplementing the growing demand for highly trained medical experts in the field of medicine. With this addition, the total number of postgraduate seats (MD/MS) available in Gujarat will be around 1963.

“Parul Institute of Medical Sciences & Research is the only college in Gujarat that is offering postgraduate programmes this academic year,” said Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, Parul University’s Medical Director. “This year, the National Medical Commission granted our college one-year recognition for its undergraduate programme (MBBS). Because the number of postgraduate seats in Gujarat is still limited, and many MBBS graduates opt to pursue postgraduate or other fellowship programmes outside of the country or state, we intend to increase the number of postgraduate seats in the near future “, she continued.

The affiliated hospital of this Medical College, Parul Sevashram Hospital, is one of the few medical colleges in Gujarat to have full-fledged super-specialty departments that have been serving people’s medical needs in the areas of cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, nephrology and urology, neurology and neurosurgery, paediatric surgery, and oncosurgery, among other general specialty departments.

The institute has been able to provide its medical students with the best medical training possible due to its well-developed healthcare infrastructure and expert medical resources.

“I am positive that our established facilities and dedicated expert resources will surely give us an upper edge in ensuring a complete and comprehensive training to our postgraduate students who will be joining their respective departments very soon,” said Parul University’s President, Dr Devanshu Patel.

“We have equipped our medical facilities with the latest medical technologies which are being adopted and utilised across all our wings such as operation theatres, critical care units and other departments. This will further help the students in staying up to date with the best and latest medical practises nationwide and worldwide”, said the Director, Dr. Komal Patel.
