On December 25, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will run the ‘Rampath Yatra’ train, which will depart from Gujarat and travel through Madhya Pradesh to Ayodhya, according to Krishna Kumar Singh, IRCTC Regional Manager.
“The 640-seater train will start from Sabarmati station in Gujarat and reach Ayodhya the next day via Ratlam, Ujjain,” Singh said at a press conference in Indore on Tuesday.
From December 27, devotees will be transported by road to Nandigram, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Chitrakoot, according to the IRCTC Regional Manager.
“It will take seven nights and eight days to complete the journey, with 320 seats in 3AC and 320 seats in sleeper coaches. IRCTC will make all the arrangements for food, devotee accommodation, and so on, for which Rs 12,600 for 3AC and Rs 7,560 for sleeper coaches will be charged via online booking “he stated
Furthermore, Singh stated that while both COVID-19 vaccine doses are not required for travel on this train, necessary medical arrangements, including isolation wards, have been made.
“This is the year’s third ‘Rampath Yatra’ train. The first train left Indore in February 2021, and the second just left Pune a couple of days ago. This is the third train, which will begin on December 25, as a result of the positive response we received from devotees in the previous two “Added he.
On November 27, a special train called the Rampath Yatra set out from Pune to Ayodhya with the aim of boosting pilgrimage tourism.
