On Saturday, at least thirteen dental students, including nine girls, were arrested in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar for consuming liquor in a residential apartment. Neighbors apparently alerted cops to the party at a Swagat Afford society flat.
Two liquor bottles were recovered from the flat as a result of the raid. As one of the girls sleeps, the man who recorded the video accuses the students of using drugs. The police team apprehended 13 students, but no drugs were found in their possession.
According to the police, a resident went to the disputed flat and recorded a video before filing a complaint with the police control room. Mayur Chavda, superintendent of police in Gandhinagar, stated that the police have become the complainant in this case because no residents have come forward to file a complaint.
According to the complaint, the party was organised by dental students at their residence. According to the Times of India, one of the arrested students is from Haryana, while others are from Rajasthan, Telangana, and Maharashtra, among other states.
On November 12, the Hyderabad police arrested three students in possession of 110 MDMA pills in a similar incident. The drugs are estimated to be worth Rs 3 lakh on the international market, according to the police.
The police and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) team apprehended the three suspects after receiving a tip. During the interrogation, the accused revealed that the drugs came from Goa.
