Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit on January 10. The three-day Summit will be the 10th edition of the highly successful business event, which was first held in 2003 when Modi was the Gujarat CM, and one that has played an important role in making Gujarat a preferred investment hub. The Summit will culminate on January 12.
Industries secretary Rajiv Kumar Gupta said Modi will inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit and the Global Trade Show on January 10. Many programmes will be organised between December 1 and January 12 as a part of the Summit.
Gupta informed that roadshows have been organised in the US, Germany, Netherlands, UK, France, Japan, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other Middle East nations ahead of the Summit.
“Chief minister Bhupendra Patel will participate in the roadshows in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on December 8 and 9. He will also take part in the New Delhi roadshow on November 25. Roadshows have been planned in five other cities in India, including Mumbai, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru, which will be attended by different ministers,” he said.
Earlier in the day, the Gujarat government signed Rs. 24,185 crore MoUs with various companies. Gupta said new MoUs will be signed for large and special projects every Monday in the run-up to the Summit.
The theme of the three-day Global Trade Show, which will take place at Helipad Ground in Gandhinagar, is Atmanirbhar Gujarat to Atmanirbhar Bharat, he added.
