As part of the ‘Doctor on Call in Diwali’ initiative launched by Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA), the service provides medical services during festival holidays.
During Diwali, a lot of doctors go out on vacations leaving people to fend for themselves in case of ailments. AMA hopes to avoid such a situation by this initiative. It has started helpline numbers area-wise, which can be accessed for assistance to find doctors in the area. AMA has provided a list of doctors who will remain present in the city during the holidays.
Details have been put up on www.ahmedabadmedicalassociation.com and AMA’s Facebook page, Dr Dilip Gadhvi, president of AMA said.
In case of non-emergency cases, patients can send queries on WhatsApp to the doctors who will answer them when they are free. AMA has been providing the service successfully for the last 12 years in association with Ahmedabad Family Physicians Association (AFPA) and support from other associations.
