Unidentified individuals threw stones at trucks and cars travelling on the Vadodara-Ahmedabad Expressway in Gujarat’s Anand district on Wednesday, damaging seven vehicles and endangering the lives of passengers, police said.
The glass windows of three trucks and four cars were shattered late Tuesday night after some people took advantage of the darkness and threw stones at the vehicles, according to an official from the Anand rural police station.
Thus according to him, no passengers were hurt in the incident, which occurred on a stretch of the Expressway near Samarkha village. He said patrolling along the stretch was strengthened, and a FIR was filed against three unidentified people for attempting to commit culpable homicide under Indian Penal Code Section 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide).
An investigation is underway to identify the miscreants, he said.
