A Bihar native has been arrested on suspicion of circulating private videos and photos of a girl and blackmailing her family.
The girl, a resident of CDA Phase II was trapped into a relationship by the youth identified as Dilip Kumar of Muzaffarpur and was asked to share personal pictures and videos.
The accused started blackmailing the girl and her family by sharing these pictures on social media following which her parents reported the matter to CDA Phase II police.
A joint team of CDA Phase II police and Cuttack UPD’s Cyber Cell proceeded to Surat from where Kumar was arrested. He has been booked under multiple Sections of the IPC, IT Act and POCSO Act.
