Seven IAS officers transferred in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Seven IAS officers have been transferred in Gujarat in the first administrative reshuffle barring appointments to the chief minister’s office since Bhupendra Patel was appointed as the chief minister last month.

Business News

Manoj Kumar Das, who was principal secretary to CM Vijay Rupani, and was without a posting since last month, has been appointed as additional chief secretary of Ports & Transport department.

Ashwani Kumar, who was secretary in the Rupani CMO, has been appointed as secretary of Sports, Youth, & Cultural Activities department. He replaces CV Som, who has been appointed as ACS of Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpsar department (rehabilitation & resettlement). Ashwani Kumar has also been given additional charge as director general of Sports Authority of Gujarat.

JP Gupta, chief commissioner of state tax, has been appointed as principal secretary of Finance department. Pankaj Joshi, ACS to the CM, has been relieved of the Finance department charge.

Milind Torawane, secretary in the Finance department, has been given additional charge as chief commissioner of state tax.

Avantika Singh Aulakh, secretary to CM, has been given additional charge as CEO of Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB).

BA Shah, director, Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), has been appointed as Botad collector. He replaces Tushar Sumera, who has been appointed as Bharuch collector.

Kamal Shah has been appointed as additional industries commissioner, while Saidingpuii Chhakchhuak, additional secretary in Finance department (budget), has been given additional charge as director, GEDA.
