Ahmedabad: President Ram Nath Kovind will begin his three-day Gujarat visit from Thursday, October 28.
According to officials, President Kovind will arrive at Ahmedabad this afternoon and go to the Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar, where he will meet Governor Acharya Devvrat. He will also interact with Chief Justice Aravind Kumar and other judges of Gujarat high court over high tea in the evening.
Kovind is slated to travel to Talgajarda village in Mahuva taluka of Bhavnagar district, and visit Shree Chitrakutdham, the ashram of Morari Bapu, the president’s secretariat said in a statement.
The statement said that the president is also slated to inaugurate a housing scheme project for the economically weaker sections in Bhavnagar.
Gujarat government officials said 1,088 beneficiaries would be allotted homes under the project. Five beneficiaries will be allotted the keys of their homes at the hands of the president. Chief minister Bhupendra Patel and other ministers will also remain present at the inauguration. He will also attend a cultural programme. Kovind is slated to stay at Bhavnagar on Friday night and return to Delhi the following day.
