Ahmedabad: Dr. Rama Shanker Dubey, the Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar, has been named among the top 2% scientists in the world in Stanford University’s list.
Dr. Dubey, who served as the Vice-Chancellor of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University in Bihar and Guru Ghasidas University in Chhattisgarh earlier, has been featured in the prestigious list for the second consecutive year.
Dr. Dubey, who served as professor of Biochemistry at Banaras Hindu University for over 20 years, appears in the overall research performance and annual research performance categories in the list that has been jointly prepared by Stanford University and The Netherlands-based publishing company Elsevier BV.
Two other professors of the Central University of Gujarat also find a place on the list.
They are Professor Dinesh Kumar, who teaches chemical science, and Professor Hitesh Kulhari of the School for Nano Sciences.
Professor Dinesh Kumar specializes in inorganic chemistry, synthetic inorganic chemistry, and the development of Nano-sensors Nano-adsorbents for detection and removal of heavy metal ions and fluoride, as per his profile.
Professor Kulhari, on the other hand, specializes in anticancer nanomedicines, nanotechnology-based drug and gene delivery systems, bio-imaging, biomaterials, and development of pharmaceutical products.
