The first aircraft restaurant of Gujarat opened for the public at the Tarsali bypass. This restaurant is the ninth aircraft-themed restaurant in the world. In India, this is the fourth restaurant to have been developed using a scrapped aircraft.
An Airbus 320 was bought at a cost of Rs 1.40 crores from a company in Bangalore to build this restaurant. Each part of the aircraft was brought to Vadodara and it was remodeled as a restaurant. It is worth somewhere around Rs 2 crore currently. It has a capacity of 102 people.
The visitors will get an experience of being in a real aircraft at this restaurant. The waiters and servers are dressed to resemble air hostesses and stewards. The restaurant will make you feel like you are travelling in a real-life aircraft because there are continuous announcements taking place.
The food options available, you ask? Well, you will have a plethora of options to choose from. The restaurant has Punjabi, Chinese, Continental, Italian, Mexican and Thai options available.
