Ahmedabad: Gujarat reported a big jump in Covid-19 cases on Tuesday with cases nearly doubling from the previous two days, health department data shows.
The state reported 30 Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, as compared with 16 cases on the previous two days. The number is the highest since October 14, when the state had reported 34 cases, which was the highest in nearly three months, as per an analysis of the health department data.
The steep rise in cases yesterday came largely due to eight cases being reported in Ahmedabad city, compared with zero cases on the two previous days. Surat city reported five fresh cases.

Surat district and Vadodara city reported three more cases, while Gir Somnath and Navsari reported two cases. Junagadh and Kutch reported one case. No deaths were reported in the city.
