Ahmedabad: An aspiring air hostess, 21, filed a criminal complaint of rape against her former live-in partner who allegedly kidnapped her and took her to Rajasthan where she was tied up, assaulted and raped multiple times.
An offence was registered at Narol police station.
The woman, from Petlad near Ahmedabad, was looking for a job after completing an air-hostess training course last year when she moved out of her father’s house over some dispute. She came to Ahmedabad and stayed with a friend of hers. During this time, she fell in love with a man, who was an acquaintance of her friend, and visited them occasionally. The two started living together in a rented accommodation. Later, she had a quarrel with him after which she returned to her friend’s place.
The man also uploaded a few pictures of the woman on Instagram, which the family reported to the police. She was later married off to another man. A few days ago, the former partner approached her and allegedly brandished a knife and took her to a premises in Maninagar. She claimed the man tied her, assaulted and raped her. Later, she managed to contact her father who approached Rajasthan police.
