Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched an Ahmedabad City Police initiative – the ‘Cyber Safe Mission’ on Monday.
He also introduced ‘Cyber Safe Girl,’ a book published by cyber safety expert Dr. Anant Prabhu about the safety of women in cyberspace. He also built a website called ‘Cyber Jagruti,’ which was created for the city’s Cyber Crime Cell.
The aim of the mission is to raise awareness about the ever-changing world of cybercrime and techniques to avoid internet attacks and financial fraud.
“The Gujarat police have been using the most up-to-date technology and equipment to prevent cybercrime as it occurs.” Several people have been saved from falling into the traps of various types of cybercrime due to the proactive strategy of monitoring.
Today is the age of mobile phones and the internet, and with an increase in their use, a large number of individuals have been victims of scammers. To avoid cybercrime, a public awareness campaign is required, and efforts like the “Cyber Safe Mission” could help.
“More people who are aware of internet safety have a better chance of being safe online,” remarked Chief Minister during the occasion.
