Ahmedabad: Gujarat has sounded a ‘high alert’ ahead of the festive season in Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad will remain on ‘high alert’ until December 18 of this year.
On Wednesday, Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Sanjay Srivastava issued a notice to all police stations in the city. The notice directs officials concerned to remain vigilant and take note of any suspicious activity in their respective jurisdictions.
The notice has been issued on the basis of a report by intelligence agencies warning of the possibility of a terror attack in Gujarat.
Commissioner Srivastava has also directed all police officials to maintain their presence and remain alert in crowded places such as malls and cinema halls.
