The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday released a circular which reads that it will allow the students of classes X & XII, who are not in the city of their schools and are residing somewhere else, to make a request to their respective schools to change the city of examination centre for the upcoming term 1 board exams.
“Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the date-sheet of Class-X & XII for the Term-1 examinations. It has come to the notice of the Board that some students are still not in the city of their school where they had taken admission and are residing somewhere else” reads the circular.
“In view of the above, at an appropriate time, CBSE will inform the students to make a request to their respective schools to change the city of examination centre. Schools will follow the instructions given by CBSE to forward the request to CBSE in an online system” it added.
CBSE will start its board exams 2022 from November 30 with class X exams followed by class XII exams from November 1.
According to examination controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, the announced date sheet is for major subjects while the schedule for minor subjects will be sent to schools separately.
The exams for minor subjects for classes X & XII will begin from November 17 and November 16, respectively.
