Ahmedabad-based Havmor Group is getting into development mode. Known for its frozen yogurt brand which it offered to Lotte a couple of years prior, the organization which has a sizable presence in the café business will contribute Rs 150 crore to go public by dispatching ‘phab’ brand of wellbeing eating/drinking alternatives.
The company will invest about Rs 50 crore initially to launch phab over a period of 12 to 18 months. Also, it will launch 35 new restaurants across India and in Gujarat.
Founder of phab and MD of Havmor Group Ankit Chona said, “Our research said that major sections of the society in India are nutrition-deficit. Therefore, we thought of finding a healthy solution while keeping the taste intact.”
He added, “As a result, phab was launched which gives multiple options to people of all age groups to have nutritious drinks and food. Since I too experienced health and weight issues in my childhood, we created this healthy option.”
“A dedicated team of food scientists in Ahmedabad is constantly working on the research and development of newer healthy options for the food enthusiasts,” he said.
Chona said a healthy eating option menu has also been introduced in their 1944 The HoCCo Kitchen restaurants. “We want people to enjoy tasty food, guilt free. Soon, there will be more options coming up from our R&D team,” he said.
Chona said things are looking better post Covid lockdowns and their focus is on consolidating and expanding HoCCo eatery, 1944 The HoCCo Kitchen and Huber & Holly. The restaurants will come up on highways, around popular tourist destinations like the Statue of Unity, and airports across the country. Most of the 35 new restaurants will be opened in Gujarat while Huber and Holly outlets will be opened in tier-2 cities like Jaipur, Pune etc.
Currently, 70 per cent of the company’s business comes from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
