More than 10 jewel houses from across the world have communicated eagerness to put resources into the impending Surat Diamond Bourse at the continuous Dubai exhibition. The jewel bourse, which is essential for the Khajod dream city project in Surat, is relied upon to become functional before the current year’s over.
The Rs 2,600-crore project will have nine towers of 15 storeys each and house 4,200 offices. The project is being hailed as the country’s biggest corporate office.
At the Dubai expo, a presentation was given by the Indian Commerce Department regarding various investment opportunities in Gujarat, including in the diamond bourse.
Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council’s regional chairman Dinesh Nawadia said the diamond industry of Surat and the upcoming diamond bourse became the talk of the expo after the presentation of investment opportunities in Gujarat.
