India on Saturday reported 46,759 new cases of coronavirus disease the highest in nearly two months mainly by the surge in Kerala, according to the Union ministry of health and family welfare.
The fresh infections have now taken the nationwide tally to 32,649,947, while the death toll climbed to 437,370 with 509 daily fatalities, the health ministry data showed. This is the third consecutive day that India is seeing more than 40,000 daily Covid-19 cases.
Active cases account for 1.10% of total cases

The Recovery Rate is currently at 97.56%. 31,374 recoveries in the last 24 hours increase Total Recoveries to 3,18,52,802

51.68 cr Total Tests conducted so far In a landmark achievement, India administered more than 1 Crore COVID-19 vaccine doses yesterday. With the administration of 1,03,35,290vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 62.29Cr (62,29,89,134) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 67,19,042 sessions.
