A delegation of Maritime Safety Stakeholders comprising of the Superintendent of Police, Dy Commissioner (Customs), Airport Director, Port Office, GMB Porbandar, representative from DGLL, Jamnagar and CISF visited Indian Coast Guard District Headquarters No. 1 Porbandar and interacted with Commander, Coast Guard District Porbandar.
The stakeholders were apprised about the prevailing maritime scenario and the need of coordination amongst all the stakeholders for achieving highest state of security in Area of Responsibility.
The likely increase in Indian Fishing boats crossing International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) and their likely apprehension was also discussed during the meeting.
Discussion on action plan was conducted to work in synergy with each other to obviate any untoward incident from Gujarat Coast especially in the present scenario of changing global geo-political situation.
